The award took me on a journey around various European destinations visiting the works of artists who had a strong influence on me during my time at art school – namely Velazquez, Ribera, Caravaggio, Goya, El Greco and Manet. I visited collections in London, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Toledo, Rome and Venice.
